ABOUT JULIANNE
As a social worker, I experienced intense burnout and vicarious trauma after investigating child abuse for 8 years. During my own personal healing journey, I became certified as a yoga teacher, and shamanic breathwork facilitator, and received a certification in nutrition and integrative medicine for mental health and psychedelic psychotherapy.
Over the past decade, my healing journey has focused on understanding the nervous system, increasing joy, and finding compassion for my own trauma narrative. In the last 5 years, I’ve been teaching trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, and holistic wellness strategies for creating HOMEostasis in the body.
I train social workers, therapists, medical staff, and other frontline workers on prevention and interventions for vicarious trauma and burnout.
I guide psychedelic psychotherapy and integration sessions and have a deep respect for plant wisdom.
I believe deeply in the medicine of human connection to bring us back to ourselves and each other. I enjoy dancing, music, surfing, yoga, writing, and travel, and believe my life is my self-care.
I’m a holistic trauma therapist, educator, and speaker, trained in somatic approaches to healing the mind and body. With a master's degree in social work and a clinical license for psychotherapy focused on attachment and trauma. My passion is bringing healing to those who are overburned by caring for others.
We first sought out a therapist to co-host our retreat workshops to ensure we could hold space for the deeper pain and trauma that was coming up for our retreat guests, and was introduced to Julianne. She has since become an integral part of our workshops at Salvaje Retreat. Her deep intuition and genuine ability to connect with our guests create an atmosphere of safety and trust. Whether guiding a group discussion or offering one-on-one support, she has an unmatched gift for holding space with compassion and sensitivity. Her expertise as a psychotherapist ensures our guests feel seen and supported as they navigate past pain and uncover personal breakthroughs. Having Julianne on our team brings a profound depth to our retreats, and we are incredibly grateful for the healing energy she shares with our community.
