GET TO KNOW

JULIANNE CHAPMAN

Selfcare is your primary healthcare — I learned this the hard way.

I am a holistic trauma therapist, educator, and speaker, trained in somatic approaches to healing the mind and body. I have a master's degree in social work and a clinical license for psychotherapy focused on attachment and trauma. I experienced intense burnout and vicarious trauma after investigating child abuse for 8 years.

During my personal healing journey, I was certified as a yoga teacher, and shamanic breath work facilitator, and received a certification in nutrition and integrative medicine for mental health and psychedelic psychotherapy. My healing was focused on understanding the nervous system, increasing joy, and finding compassion for my own trauma narrative.

I have spent the last 11 years working as a therapist and in the last 5 years, I have refocused my passion on teaching trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, and holistic wellness strategies for creating resilience in the body. I train social workers, therapists, medical staff, and other frontline workers on prevention and interventions for vicarious trauma and burnout. I provide psychedelic integration sessions and believe deeply in the medicine of human connection to bring us back to ourselves and each other. I enjoy dancing, music, surfing, yoga, writing, and travel.

‘I support individuals and organizations to create safety for healing and thriving. I believe strongly in integrative self-care as our primary health care.

You don’t need to white knuckle it through the day, then take the burden home to your family and friends. There’s another way to do the job.
